Monitor FMCSA and USDOT commercial driving records

What is DataQ

DataQ is a system that was created by the FMCSA that independent truckers and trucking companies can use to monitor the information that is maintained on them by agencies like the USDOT. The DataQ system provides a formal process for disputing or questioning federal or state information and violations, allowing an avenue to have incorrect or incomplete information removed from the records or corrected.

After submitting an RDR request through DataQ, the request is automatically forwarded to the appropriate agency or FMCSA office for investigation. The FMCSA tries to resolve all cases within 14 days of their submission, but this can vary. Cases that are clear-cut may take much less time, while cases that are more complex or subjective may take much longer. No matter how long it takes, the DataQ system will allow you to track the progress of your review, collecting updates and responses.

DataQ Reviews & Challenges

SaferCDL makes the task of filing a DataQ RDR as easy as possible. With years of experience filing RDRs, we know what records can be challenged successfully and the best methods to have them removed or mitigated. Whether you would like for us to conduct periodic analysis of your DataQ to find and challenge penalties and violations or just need help removing one penalty from your record, we can help.

If we determine that a challenge is necessary, we will help you gather all the required documentation and then file the review. After the request is filed, we then monitor it through the entire process until it is resolved in case extra information or supporting documents are needed. Just a few examples of how we can help include:

  • Request and review copies of inspection reports
  • Identify and contest duplicate records, such as duplicate crash reports or traffic violations
  • Contest records that have been assigned to the wrong motor carrier or driver
  • Challenge incorrect or incomplete DOT audits and inspection reports

You only get one chance at filing an RDR to have an incorrect violation removed from your record, and it needs to be a good one. Contact one of SaferCDL’s DataQ experts to give yourself the best chance possible.
